![]() It's simply because it is the cheapest flight stick that doesn't use cheap components that will fail over time. The second part is the reason that everyone recommends the VKB NXT. If you have 2 buttons on the stick, a trigger and a HAT switch then you're pretty much good to go already. Regarding part one: WT is still more of an arcade game than a sim, so most sticks on the market will probably do. How "good" it is in terms of inputs, feel, etc. When you're stopping for flight gear there's really 2 things you need to consider: What would you think? Thanks in advance for any suggestion and advice. Today I was suggested also the VKB Gladiator Next as one of the best available sticks, although it is still more expensive. I also consider endurance to be important: I want to buy a stick that can sustain intensive sessions and last years before wearing. I'm not overly exigent for what regards details, to me 9/10 is already satisfying and I would never pay much more for something that is 10/10, but things could change when it comes to a choice between a 7/10 and a 9/10. ![]() I don't know if the additional cost really makes a difference, or if the other two are good enough to enjoy a fun experience in the game. ![]() It costs 59.90 €, but it comes without throttle, which should be bought separately, rising the total price to 168.31 € on Amazon, which maybe is too expensive unless it is somehow justified. I was also told that the Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS is really good. I was interested in the PXN-2119II, which I've just found at 53.14€ on Banggood, and in the Thrustmaster Flight HOTAS X, which costs 68.98 € on Amazon. I advice you to download -inform yourself about- DCS world, the base game is free and let you play 2 planes, a modern ground pounder ( the Su-25T, which is quite simplified system wise but still have a professionnal level FM) and the TF-51, a trainer version of a P-51 with advanced systems and FM. If you play realistic, the still-simplified FM allows things that give some advantages to mouse-aim users ( you can do them with a stick and a rudder ( T-16000M has rudder-twist ), but it is extremely un-natural ).Ī stick is better used in simulation mode of WT, but this mode is almost dead since Gaijin turned it in an event only battle mode. PS : if you only want to play Arcade in WT, don't bother with a stick at all. But if you ever plan to install DCS/recent IL-2s you may prefer the T-16000M/TWCS throttle pack ( arround 120€, but much less than T-16000M alone + TWCS alone ). If you really only want to play WT and FSX ( without modern military plane DLC ), then take it alone. It has the same level of precision as the Warthog HOTAS ( 350+€ ) and will last years. Take the T-16000M, especially if you may be interested in more "serious" simulation ( DCS world, IL-2 CloDo,Battle of.
